We treat Lacerations, Fractures, Sports injuries, Flu symptoms, Sore Throats, Ear Aches. We offer on-site X-Ray services as well as care for work injuries and motor vehicle accidents. We are open 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. No appointment necessary. We are located North of the Wynsong theater and The Shops at Riverwoods in the Riverwoods Business Park.
Dr. Douglas Murdock, MD
Dr. Douglas Murdock graduated from University of Utah’s School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate in Nursing at Brigham Young University. He went on to complete his residency at Michigan State University – East Lansing in Emergency Medicine from 1994-1997. Currently, he works in the Emergency Department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and Orem Community Hospital, while also working with Search and Rescue and Wasatch County EMS.
Dr. Keith Hooker, MD
January 02, 1939 – June 04, 2012
Dr. Hooker received his Doctorate of Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine-Portland in 1965. He then completed his internship at Riverside General Hospital in Riverside County, California. Dr. Hooker spent four years (1966-1970) in Anchorage and Kotzebue, Alaska, treating tuberculosis and practicing general medicine for the Alaskan natives. He flew his personal plane to remote villages to perform everything from dentistry to obstetrics. In 1970 Dr. Hooker and his family relocated to Provo, Utah where Dr. Hooker was a lifelong Emergency Room doctor at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. (1971-2012). In 2003 Dr. Hooker along with Dr. Douglas Murdock opened Riverwoods Urgent Care, giving the community a less expensive alternative to the ER. Dr. Hooker’s love for the outdoors lead him to get involved with teaching outdoor survival at BYU and co-founding Aspen Achievement Academy, the first of many wilderness programs he worked with. Up until his death in June 2012 Dr. Hooker taught paramedics at Utah Valley University as the programs medical adviser, advised Utah County Search and Rescue and the Sundance Ski Patrol. Dr. Hooker had many outstanding accomplishments including being named Emergency Room Physician of the Year in 1989, 1991; Utah County Physician of the year 2010 and State of Utah physician of the Year 2011. Dr. Hooker your compassion, enthusiasm, humility and sense of humor will be missed. We know that you are climbing mountains and flying planes on the other side.
